Borja Oria

Borja Oria is is head of Retail and Real Estate in the Investment Banking division of Arcano.

Previously, he worked in Investment Banking for Rothschild and Financial Partners, where he was involved in numerous corporate transactions. He was Chief Executive of Musgo for 8 years, and led the process of selling the company to a venture capital fund in 2006. He was a member of the advisory board in the Retail division of Jones Lang LaSalle Spain, and a member of the Executive Committee of CEIM-CEOE (the Madrid Confederation of Employees and Industries).

Borja Oria is Honorary Chairman of ACOTEX, the Textile and Accessory Trade Association, which has over 800 associates and 2,800 stores in Spain including Zara, H&M, Prada and El Corte Inglés. He was Chairman of this association for eight years.

Additionally, Borja is Board Member of Grupo Paraguas (El Paraguas, Tenconten, Quintín, Amazonico and Numa) since 2016, he is Board Member of Papa John´s Iberia since 2017, and Vice-Chairman of Fundación EXIT (Social and labour insertion of youths under the risk of social exclusion) since 2008.

He lectures regularly at a variety of different educational institutes, including CUNEF, ISEM Fashion School, IE Business School, University Francisco de Vitoria, MBA Telva & Yo Dona, ICADE and the University of Villanueva.

Borja has a BA in Business Management from CUNEF (University College for Financial Studies) and has completed the Real Estate Executive Program at Harvard Business School.
